Collet style chucks for a propshaft coupling

Has anyone tried to use the small collet style chucks that you sometimes get on a PCB drill motor as a propshaft coupling? Are they any good?

I know people who use them on RC helicopter tail rotor flexi shaft drives so if fitted correctly will be fine in a boat (which is what they are mainly used in). Good quality ones arent cheap though.

I think something like that is used on highend flexy shafts, in race boats.

Caution:  Many of the small cheap chucks are made out 'monkey' metal, poorly made and not balanced.... OK for light scale boats I guess.....

The MBP collets are the best I've used, they clamp the shaft with no setscrews to throw off the balance.
