Currently available soft start ESC
« on: September 02, 2020, 01:57:24 pm »

Hi,Can anyone recommend a currently available ESC with a VERY soft start suitable for a single 555 motor on either 6 or 12 volts. Boat weighs approx 18lbs and the motor drives a 3.5inch prop and is not geared down. I haven't checked the current at full load but at 15lbs the 10amp fuse is still undamaged! It seems that the ones recently recommended, like the Astec and one of the Action ones, are unavailable :((
ThanksTony

Tony
The ACTion P78/79/80 and 81 all have the choice between soft-start or linear start as standard - you simply move a little header link from one pair of pins to another. If you are having trouble obtaining a P79 or P80 then I have a few spare ones in the workshop and I'm sure we can come to an arrangement! PM me if you want to pursue this.
