« on: September 26, 2020, 04:15:35 pm »

Ok I have searched hi and lo for a particular stick pin I can use in construction .It's the ones with a red or blue plastic top.The ones used in the Fairmount Alpine build log. I use T pins which are a little hard on the fingers. Can you provide a link? :-))

Not sure about shipping to Canada, but you have a brand now and may be able to sort locally.. sort of!

Interesting to see this. "Stick pins" are kind of what I've used to put rockwool insulation panels on to a surface like HVAC ducts.

I haven't seen those pins from sussex model centre before. Are they better than the usual glass bead head pins available from usual sources (the top beads always pull off)?

Have not used them myself, just sell them! But they seem pretty well put together, and at the price they should be a damn sight better %)

Thank you  The wide world of Google algorithms seems the key search word is "steel" hobby pins not "Hobby stick pins"  LOL  {-)

"almost inextricably linked" ....head to the shaft. Is it or isn't it LoL. I might buy a pack to try. Usual glass bead pins the head just pulls off but they're so cheap they are consumable, I find "T" pins a bit thick, tends just to split wood rather than stick in place. Thanks for the link.

Hi are we talking about the pins about 3cms long with a plastic knob on?  If so these are available from dressmakers items or Haberdashery as it was once known.
They come on a circular card.  There are quite a few items they use which are useful.
