Guys, I reckon at the very least this forum is worth the same as a subscription to Model Boats, fine publication that it is.  Can you imagine how we all would manage without it - all those vacant hours to fill??!!   %% %% %%

(But even if you don't think it's it worth that much, a few quid will help us all enjoy MBM for a while yet.)

Ozzie Pineapple donated  :}
A fifty-dollar note is also known colloquially as a "pineapple" or the "Big Pineapple" because of its yellow colour.

Just stumbled across the latest posts, and more than happy to contribute, just one question . . . . .

Is this to build up a contingency for next years' hosting costs, (i.e. getting ahead of the game), or costs for uploading larger pictures now, (i.e. this years' running costs).

Sorry to sound like the only idiot in the village . . . . .

Cheers,

Mike

No, there was a financing drive fairly recently which I think met its target although it's always nice to have a bit in the bank for contingencies.

Yes, the main server hosting costs are covered  but there's the other costs too, s/w licenses, image hosting, domain names, etc. .......  Savile Row suits.   %)

Martin, I'm not funding a Savile Row suit with your choice of shirt. It would be an offence against humanity!

But yes everyone, chip in if you can as it makes all the difference.

I am growing old >:-o
This topic re-appeared on "unread posts" this morning, so without thinking I made my usual meagre donation.
Then I realised the topic covers 3 pages and started back in April and I had donated then !
Glad my mistake has benefited a good cause.

Merry Christmas Mayhem  :-))

Sorry Kinmel. I get so much value from this site that I couldn’t go past when I was browsing (nosying  :D ) so I had to put something in the coffers. I’ll add more as time goes on so watch out and.... make the same mistake again  :} :}
