Thanks Bob and Kiyo.

Hoping to keep the progress going with these two.

Hi Chris

Great to see you back on the forum and busy building.  Hoping to see some of the fleet at Wicksteed this year for an outing...???

Very best regards

Thanks David. The problem I was having with seeing and posting photographs has been resolved fortunately.

Well, planking has started, I may be some time!   :-)

These could well be my only plank on frame builds so it's good that I'm doing diagonal and longitudinal planking. It's going to be two layers of 1/32" ply on the Fisherman and 1.5mm bass on the Faun. Enjoying it but it's going to be a slog on the Fisherman!

Tony, if you read this, not all Faireys are the same!  {-)

Planking is progressing!

Change of plan with the Fisherman as I'm now planning on the second layer being 1.5mm thick bass strip laid longitudinally as per the Faun though that is only having one layer. Been a good learning experience and if I was doing another plank on frame I would do things slightly differently. But I'm pleased with how the hulls are shaping up and with more work will get them how I want them.

Second layer of planking progressing on the Fisherman and that to the Faun and the balsa to the bow is now complete. Bit of final filling and then ready for lightweight cloth and Eze-Kote.

Bit more progress on Faun. Mahogany transom and rubbing strips fitted and deck veneered. Few more coats of Eze-Kote applied to hull and sanded down ready for painting.
