Given that many 47" H31s are fitted with thumping great big Zenoah petrol motors or the like then I would have reserved the liteply solely for the superstructure. The hull construction might have been a cross between the old kit and the 1/16 scale version but with a camber on the deck and double-diagonal planking along the sides to get that flare. Block balsa is a pig to shape at that size and D/D planking is something I wish I'd discovered 48 years ago when I did the old kits. None of this, incidentally, is intended as a critique of the new kit as I've not seen one and it would be unfair to comment in any circumstances.
Still, 'tis water under the bridge now and I ain't gonna make another one at any scale. Over to you Mr Fellows.
