where do i get this from. ic chips ??
« on: October 11, 2007, 05:16:54 pm »

been looking at circuts for electronic switches for me to build for myself rather than buy one built or in kit form (dont worry Dave it's just an experiment and still like yours) :) .Any ways back to the subject ,one of the plans the circuit is based around a 4013 flip-flop IC but after searching maplins on line i cant find one.
With a little searching on line RADIONICS http://www.radionics.ie/cgi-bin/bv/rswww/home.do?returningUser=N&cacheID=ienetscape have them  ,but they look pricy and are in euros and i am not sure where they are .
any one help

Daz,

4013 is available at Maplins. Code number is QX07H. Cost at time of posting is £0.72 each.

Good luck with the project.

Terry.

Daz,

You need to go to the maplins website http://www.maplin.co.uk/

Type 4013 into search window above All Products.

This will then show a list of 5 devices in the 40xx range.

Under that is a blue window which says Further Items. Click this for a full list of 40xx devices including 4013.

Any equivalent ic should still have 4013 in the number whether it be HCF4013 or HEF4013.
I can only find standard 4013 on the Maplins site.

Should hope they do have a large range, that's one of the trading arms of Farnell Electronics, they make Maplins look like a corner shop!! :D

Daz

How many do you need?

Maplins? Twelve ill-assorted nerds and hippies trying hard not to answer the phone or notice the customers........and 13p for a 0.6W resistor is definitely taking the p155.

Hi FLW

Yes, I went into Maplins yesterday & spent £29.99
As I had a voucher if I spent > £30, I said to throw in 2 resistors - You are right, they added another 26p
I am living in the past I think, as I sell 1/3W resistors at 2p each
(Also 4013 @ 20p each)
