Motor Mount Alignment Tool
« on: November 15, 2020, 05:25:52 am »

Hi All

I design my own Alignment tool !!!

My idea was the bolt the mount to the alignment tool and onto the drive shaft.

This gives room to work on the motor base and pack/fill to the required amount.

The motor mount holes are for 28mm/35mm brushless motors and the 35mm 540 brush motors.

The shaft is 4mm with a grub screw.

The idea can be use on other sizes, but it's the basic start.

In the pictures I show a flat motor mount because it was easier to photograph.

Very good idea :-)
I found it easy to use a solid coupling with the actual motor and its mount in place and build a platform to fit under it. This is easier on wooden models to do before hull side skins are fitted. I did this in both fishing boat blogs
