Hello Engineman, are plans available for the boat in your picture?

Hi KNO3, yes, plans are available. Otherwise - how this scale replica was built?
These (original GA drawings) could be requested/ordered from RMM (ex NMM) archive, Greenwich.

Thanks! And what is the name of the plan or boat? Do you have a direct link to the archive?

Here is the link to the ship plans collection of RMG: https://collections.rmg.co.uk/collections.html#!csearch;collectionReference=subject-90352;authority=subject-90352
They have 'improved' again the copying policy and charges...to make life of model boat enthusiasts much more nice and easy...
The boat itself - is 56' wood torpedo boat (WTB No.12 - to say more properly).
Cheers!

KBIO, once again you misrepresent yourself-- you DO take it seriously! This gorgeous model is stunning. Your photography as usual is artwork in its own right.   I hope there is a museum somewhere for the rest of the people to see your work. I am inspired but know superior when I see it!  Thanks for sharing, even making the thread posting is a lot of work!

-Carl, in Awe.

PS If in your library there are some photos of the planking being laid up can you please add them?

Hello Carl !
Thank a lot for the compliments but this is a bit too much as I just try to modestly achieve  the wonderfull work of this Forum's Members. :-))
I won't tell any name but I have shining eyes and a hint of jealousy looking at some boats . O0

Unfortunately , I do not have pic of the planking ; but these two below , as this not the most exciting part of the work and above all not rewarding.
Just good to see the defaults and where to improve or modify.

No need for a museum, as like almost everyone here , with burnt moustaches  by firing up their boiler, the next generation is more "locked down" on there I-phone screen than on the satisfaction to make something to work !
I am afraid that when we'll meet all , together in the Steam heavens and share a pint , the heirs phone to the scrap dealer and get rid of the stuff to gain some room and have a good meal!
That is why I am glad to leave here, a trace of my hobby , by showing you what's in my barn ! {-)
I must have about 40 boats and all type of engines , boilers, and so on , and every one in the family gives a damn !
(please don't tell my wife , she thinks that I am writing a book) LOL!
Thanks again and keep safe.
Best regards.

Kbio, I think you could easily write a book about model steam boats and it would certainly be interesting to read.

Hi KBIO!
Pretty close to do so.
Since the boat is nearly completed.
Only torpedoes are still missing...thou (most probably) I will leave dropping gear 'empty,...
