Hi from New Zealand
« on: December 14, 2020, 04:17:15 am »

Hi Everyone, as a new member l thought l would introduce myself. I started about 2 years ago making a Midwest fantail kitset which l highly modified then built my 2nd boat from a Glynn Guest plan, the 1/72 scale Tss Earnslaw which l am still trying to ballast. Hopefully next time on the club pond it will work OK. I also have built recently a scratch built 1/15 scale Canadian log dozer without a plan, only a photo to go by and it turned out very well. I am currently finishing a 1/50 scale Billings Nordkap which two other modellers started but gave up on, so mostly l am trying to fix the mistakes and make it look as best as l can. Once that is done l have a 1/24 scale Tid tug to build. I wish l have discovered model boats years ago but making up for lost time. Looking forward to gaining some knowledge from others on this fantastic site. Cheers Don

Hi Whisky Runner

Welcome to the forum !!!

All very helpful here, so any problems just ask.

If you are looking for plans I have a few in our club.

Another good forum also is the Model Boats Magazine one.

I have a club member who finished a TID last year, so I can get lots of pics if you require.
