Fairey huntsman motor

Hi all newbie question what is the best motor to use on a fairey huntsman it's a fiberglass Hull  I want to use the water cooler from the prop (pic of size boat and what it looks like at minute) any help on what and where to go would be very helpful I hope to use a dyn9006 lithium battery see pic

Hi no pic posted but I'd imagine I'm not the only one thinking there were generally perhaps two sizes of hulls assuming Precedent so giving some idea of size is what folk will be looking for.  There are fairey experts on here who will be able to advise.  I have not looked up your battery, neither should it normally be a precedence.

Hi Dave and welcome.

You want something fairly torquey and not too mad revs wise.

An outrunner brushless of 35mm dia. and around 900 to 1300 kv would do the trick, e.g. Leopard LC3536 1100 kv (Component Shop etc.) or Overlander Batteries do a number of 3536 motors. Or Turnigy or Surpass.

Use a 3s LiPo battery or 4s if you restrain your throttle finger!

My 1/8 scale Huntress (35" long) used one of the 3542/6 1000kv Leopard outrunner brushless motors on a 3S LiPo pack and this ESC, which I can thoughly recommend
