Hi Chris

I started the rebuild of the smaller Tiger but I discovered that the original hull was measuring up with various problems. When I checked I found that the bow was twisted off to starboard and the keel was hogging. When I bought the model a Scale Warships hull was included so I’m in the process of transferring parts and measuring the cutouts in the stern despite some anomalies I have lined up the superstructure and where I need to cut the excess material. On a positive note I have bought a ships crest for the stand for when she is finished. Hopefully some visible changes will be seen very soon.

Nick
Be very careful with that hull, I had one and had to move all the stern openings, block them off and then re cut new ones.

Hi Bob

That’s what I’m discovering as it looks wrong and the pictures and limited plans show the hull to be wrong. Thanks for confirming my suspicions.

Hi Chris

It’s my dad who is building the Glorious- that’ll keep him occupied for about a year before it gets any where near my greasy mitts! ok2
I’ve been playing with mini Tiger making my brain hurt since nothing matches up with the drawing or pictures. I have made the decision to completely remove the supposed cutouts on the aft section with a mini sander and cut out my own as I can’t get the GRP hull to match up with anything.
I know that the Jecobin plans aren’t 100% but they are closer than the hull! So grinding on Friday morning to flatten out the wrong cutouts and mark out my version using the plans.

As I said earlier Nick, the hull is wrong, and you are doing exactly what i did, sad thing is I told them this but never recievd a reply,  the way I found to be accurate was to check against a good side view of her then mark n cut.
