Small Sailboat/Yacht
« on: May 03, 2022, 01:56:22 pm »

Hello everyone,
I am looking for some help in identifying a suitable RC sailboat/yacht kit to build which would be suitable to put in the rear foot-well of my car behind the front seats to avoid de-rigging. I have a large estate car so normally I do not have a problem with transport however we have a new puppy so if we are taking her with us to the lake she will occupy the boot-space. The available height is 44 inches or 1.10 metres.
Any suggestions gratefully received - just looking for something to have a bit of fun with.
Thanks,
Tim

Dragon force 65 or build yourself an RG65 from plans or kit.

Thanks Martin. This will do very nicely if I can find one in stock.  :-))

Thanks for the reply. If I can't get hold of a Micro Magic then an RG65 build looks good.  :-))

Lesro 65 would be ideal but not made any more, which is a great pity.

The rg65, might there be a plan of that on here please ?

I have been looking for a Micro Magic and there appear to be none in stock in the UK. I contacted Hacker Models in the Czech Republic who now have the rights to this model and they couldn't help source one but did say they could supply direct. I have not ordered anything of this size from Europe since we left the EU but have heard some horror stories regarding additional taxes imposed prior to delivery being made. Has anyone got any experience of this as I am reluctant to proceed this way?

Thanks,
Tim
