Hi Stuw;

Thank you for a good question to the point.! O0
That's partly right with your thought.
In addition,if the the deck was lowered,side edge will touch the water surface when the boat turns and rolls,
by which the some kind of drag force would be feared to generate.
Moreover the deck I thought had to be flush with the original deck height,by which I tried to avoid the difference
of height between the two decks.
Frankly speaking, I spent rather much time about how I should treat this modification work.
And the result was like this.!! :embarrassed:

See the following pics and video for reference.

Understood! As your boat is very fast, it’s in the correct place!

Hi all;
Pics for today are how I added a decorative touch all around the hull by a fancy side protection moulding for a real car.
Needless to say,it's quite OK for the  originally well designed Najade not to be done with that decoration at all.
But I wished to put an accent in a whole white hull by a chrome shined molding as in the following pics.!! %%

Hi all;
An anchor was installed like these and I am happy with the progress of the assemblies based on the instruction
manuals though it was in German language.,,,, {:-{
At these general assemblies stages,no peculiarly difficult works took place contrary to early stages when
 there were many to think about how to treat with... O0

Spray painting must be difficult for you - I only have a small space to spray paint in and it does not work-out very well.  Too many fumes and overspray dust gets everywhere.

This is located at back garden where is covered with the thin films as seen in the pics. {:-{

That is a good idea and the narrow space is an advantage for spraying as you have basically made a nice little bay that helps to block the wind a little.  8)

Hi all;

My Najade was installed with the stanchions and handrails using an angle gauge as per the instruction manuals.
The pics show the upper rails were finished in the first place.

Did you hold the top rail to the stanchions (with clips?) and then solder the joints together?

Hi Bob;
Yes, they are  kind of split pins and stanchions are just brass tubes.
So the rails were held by split pins which were tightened easily and both "legs" were then inserted into the stanchions tubes.
Therefor it was so easy to fix the rails for soldering which was as per the manuals,including the split pins.
Instead,each stanchion must be fixed as securely as possible for these soldering work to fix the 2mm rail rods.

That is a god idea - I need to find some small spilt pins to use when I make the pulpit for my Swordsman .....and other handrail projects!

Many and various sizes of handrails were painted chrome silver at this stage. :-)

I have been reading of the difficulty people have trying to paint items to have a realistic chrome metal versus silver paint look. Do you have a particular paint or technique that you used?

Loving the detail on this model....

Hi stuw;
I am currently using the colors as seen in a pic below.
But I am one of those who are not satisfied with the present so called chrome silver color.... <:( <:(

Hi all;
In the next place,I applied the hull side blue stripe seals as shown in the pics below.
These stripes are very effective to give the smart accent greatly onto the monotonous white hull design. O0 %%
Especially the stripes seem to contribute an elegance greatly to the white hull when on the water...? {-) %)

Hi all;
At last,the stairs were assembled and set in place as shown in the following pics.
My "granddaughter"can be seen in the pic saying with her hands up joyfully "Nice stairs has been complete! waai,waai!
I could go up to the upper deck where my grandfather is on!" %% {-) O0 ;D
