Everything started here about three years ago.
But ,I had waited for this kit to be released from krick in those days.

Yeah, nice looking boat.

There's another one exactly the same!

Hi all;

Original conditions were as seen below.
The material is made from ABS plastics.
Overall length is about 1m.
My model is 105cm as I added swimmer's deck at stern.

The hull is  trimmed and shaped as shown in the German instruction manuals,which language was the biggest barrier for me during
 the whole building. {:-{
As I tried to build her simply and faithfully as described the instruction manual. :embarrassed:

Small parts were cut and trimmed to shape based on the instructions and test fitted.
And partly reinforced with a wood strip.

The 6th image is possibly real boat.

I have just started building one of these, first boat kit that I have ever built, luckily the instructions came in German and English, your large clear colour pictures have been a great help so far especially in showing what needed to be to trimmed off the hull.

Hi Westlink ;
Thank you sooo much for your kind comment on my pics of luxury cabin cruiser NAJADE.
I am also very happy to know that the pics of the Najade has  become greatly useful for you,
at the same time I am deeply encouraged to post here on the Najade. :embarrassed:
By the way, pics for today are as follows;
1;The motor I selected was a 3660-2050KV water-cooled brushless.
    ESC is a 160A water-cooled.
2;Normal paint color, white high gloss and polished many times to get a high gloss around the hull and cabin.
3;test fitting of side walls.
 Cooling water is coming out from the starboard powerfully and the motor is well cooled. %%

Hi all;
Today's pics for NAJADE are as follows;
1;I drilled many 4.0mm holes around the wind shield outside my house.
2;This is an "anti-mosquito spray"I used when drilling work. {-)
3;A coupling made in China under the brand of Japan.!
4/5;The roof floor was cut to shape roughly at this time.

Test fit before sanding the cut line precisely.
Many tabs were also attached around which works was rather troublesome as they had to have different angles
 to stand each other・・ <:( 8)

Roughly cutting and test fitting ..and roughly cutting and test fitting..and trimming and trimming..
And the time elapsed...finally far more than one year to complete in my case. :D
And a few more months to sail stably and trouble -free running on my local lake.

Nice to see an ABS plastic boat for a change - and to see it in action on such a nice lake.

Hi Zooma;

Thanks a lot for your kind comment on my posting.! :}
I am so lucky since the lake is comparatively near my house,located 11kms away.
The lake is ,in a sense,sailing test water for me and large.
My HMS Fencer 1/96 built from Deans Marine kit was also tested here as seen below.
Large enough to test various conditions on the large surface...
High speed forward ! Hard to port quickly! Hard to starboard slowly! %% {-)

I do like your  HMS Fencer, looks very good on the water.
Getting back to Najade, I have followed what was advised in the instructions and have ordered a Roxxy 3656-06 brushless, water cooled motor which hopefully is coming from Germany very soon and a Seaking V3 60A ESC.

I think this might take me longer to build than you did with yours.  :-)

Hi Westlink;
So nice to have your kind comment on my model aircraft carrier spent to complete her roughly more than 4.5 years.
In this sense, around one year or so is not so long for me to build one  model boat,rather short if it could be enjoyable
to work on her..... :embarrassed:
Time is not a matter, but a final result  to see a sailing, graceful and vivid lady on the water.!
She sails so calmly as she looks and runs scale-like as seen in the video shown in the very beginning of this thread.
 Pics for today are roughly cut images of the upper deck and hull.

Hi Stan;

I have ever seen the pics somewhere in the internet many months before.
And I wonder how you got the building information or materials for fittings in detail.!
You made that carrier... O0
But to my regret,I could not find her sailing scenes...

Hi the carrier hull was of only six made the super detail fittings came from John Haynes fine scale models. I obtained plans from the floating dry dock in the USA. With regards to sailing pictures this model is now only seen has a static exhibition. Should I ever build the Deans carrier it would be U S S Cophee once again I have plans for this. Forgot to mention the book Escort Carriers in Action
