That is a real shame, I've ordered loads from Nick over the years, service has always been excellent (and I've just cleared out his stock of 1/72 RN pattern stanchions!)

However, on a positive note, I do hope he has a good retirement!

The Model Dockyard Closing
« Reply #4 on: November 30, 2020, 05:48:46 pm »

Hi everyone, I was just looking on the website for the Model Dockyard and there is a notice that they are closing down probably at the end of January, <:(  I recently purchased some fittings from them and had very good communication and service from them. It's sad to see a good shop close and would like to wish Nick a very happy retirement. :-))

That is a shame, they are my go-to online supplier, and always provided a great service.

Well, at least it's retirement and not being forced into the poorhouse!  I feel better knowing he just decided to hang up his hat.

Cornwall has a lot of the same items but I found Model Dockyard had better stock levels, and he was very attentive to his customers.
