Diodes usually conduct in one direction but those look like they would conduct in both directions does it say what the fuse rating should be.

Unidirectional LED's -the source of "free energy" videos on youtube?  I believe you connect one end of the array to a potato and as long as you have something like a lemon or bottle of it within the house they will light up as long as the lemon isn't too far away.  "Jiff lemon" effect is highly concentrated with low temperature but no good in the refridgerator due to it's insulating properties.  Tests proved the unidirectional LED's will light up brightly when the door is open, but possibly because they have the same natural radiation emitted of refrigeration bulbs:  door open=on, door closed however is a quasi -quiescent state nobody has been able to prove without doubt whether the light is on or off when the door is closed and the use of cats was banned some years ago mainly because the scientists could not discern any answer from the animals once they were released.

...Also, having worked with a few ex-BT technicians you have 8 shots there to get it right.  Usually they go through half of them thinking save the other half for later then after fuses have blown a second or third time getting them to work their last resort is to fit the remaining half then request spare fuses, relays and resistors if not PCB's for anything as couldn't find source of the problem -need more spares as somethng wrong in the circuit or the spares that were sent out since.

The bussbars will conduct lots and lots of amps while totally protecting the LEDs.  A bit of snipping will be required to remove the short circuits while leaving enough leg to terminate to.
If you don't know which way to connect a LED from a batch like this, just take two, connect them in parallel with one facing one way and one the other, take a guess at a ballast resistor value (say, 220 ohms for a 6 volt receiver battery) and connect to a battery of 3 volts or more.  One of them will light up.  Note which end of the lit up one is connected to the positive pole of the battery, use that for the rest.
