At the stern there is a bulkhead, this along with eventual glazing in of the freeing ports shal reduce the onset of red pelican syndrome yes tug kenny!!!! :P rather than having one bulkhead I have made it out of 3 parts to make it look like it could be raised or lowered.

Thanks Kenny.

Larry, it was planned to be however there is a major bulkhead between the rudder stem and the lift, so thats kinda scuppered that plan, so the A-frame is a dummy at the moment however the hinges are still operable and so all that would be needed to do is the hydraulic rams be replaced should a suitable mechanism be found

I'm sure you will sort it , when ever there is a hammer, chisel, drill and knife and some glue there is always a way.. Can't believe you actually did some building there at Blackpool , I get nervous when my wife is watching let alone a few thousand people..

At some point I plan to get the A-frame re-moddelled on the aft fan tail,

After some thaught, I think a sail winch should do it, running a constant loop ala yacht should do it.  anchored to the bottom of the winch and then anchored to the hydraulic ram pivot.  thats's for another date.

well she sails :)
a motor change was made after initial bath testing - she wouldn't go very fast at all, taking 4 seconds to travel the bath, this motor was changed by a 380 MFA motor.

on the water she rolls slightly and may need a keel skeg to get her stability ind running straight.  not a big issue though

no worries

she seems to back up straight as well.  next thing structural is a pair of vertical fins on the hull at the aft end to help keep her running straight

your tug shuldnt be THAT unstable, Kim and his father used two dickies in a tug towing event and they had no problems, try fettling your ballast.

mine now needs a sh*t load of paint added!

old pens DO have a use when hacked up with a saw.  the funnel cans and the crane support are made from the outer casing of an old biro
