ah i see they have taken a diffrent approach to all the other small sub manufactures. Most use 2 main drive motors set at an angle to drive the sub under and it turn like a tank ie on it motors

OK What about in stead of trying to lift the sub at a given point why not try a cradle. It would make the whole lining up process a lot easier. As for the cable on the winch the only down side i can see to that is the cable could get caught in the subs pro nord pro on intangled on some thing making recovery difficult. All so how would a cable effect the subs handling

new A-frame started, this one will be powered by a servo on the Port arm, with an idler servo on the starboard side.

at the top when complete will be the attatchment to get the submarine, two telescopic arms for rams on the sides.

Yes that looks good, quite a long travel considering its servo controlled.  O0

for some reason, that servo gives me all the movement I need without the need for a servo stretcher.

as for lifting things, its only designed to lift mr lobster

Is there no way you can get those servos lower into the hull..?

thanks Martin.

Larry, I tried that at blackpool show and couldnt get the swing.  instead, I am going to build up the aft end into a super structure element, that will also help prevent red pelican syndrome

over the top of the servo box there is to be a styrene lid, that will give access for wires etc around it it will have some railings if there is clearance between it and the sub cradle.  on the front of it, a couple of doors, at the top of it, some vents, probably a set of read mushrooms, and at the fan tail side of it, perhaps a small deck with a door to it, thus that servo box will become part of the ship.

Hi Ghost

You'll have to do a weight test and fit a SWL notice.      O0

Don't want you going under eh !!

Video looks good. If you want to lower the servos, maybe you could use a one to one pulley belt from Meccano ?, like a bicycle chain idea.

Cheers...Ken

the reason they are positioned where they are kenny is to provide a break water at the stern of the hull, preventing pelican syndrome, :P

Hi Mark

That really looks good, and to me, looks scale speed too. Have you been able to source a winch for the sub yet. Keep the pics and videos coming. I cant wait to see her on the water and in full action with the sub. I spent all yesterday trying to make 50calibre machine guns out of plastic card, do you know how small they are at 1/32 scale.

Regards David

TLB next it is to install the frame's rams, box in the servos to weather guard them, and then to paint it all.
