The Paterson ; Tug.
« on: February 14, 2021, 01:33:43 pm »

Hello!
I’ve already talked about my Paterson (tug) The one I present has the chimney designed for diesel ones .
The original chimney is a lot less impressive but also less pretty, I think.
The engine is the famous ANTON - Topaze / 6.7 cc
The propeller as shown on the pic is 13 cm diam. (note the shape).
The boat weights 27/28 kg for 140 cm longand there is enough power still.
I have more work to do on it but ….. tomorrow wil be fine … You know what I mean ;-)))
I enjoy sailing this boat. My back enjoy less to put her in the water !
Thanks for watching. :-))

Stunning looking tug that sits really well on the water, it looks very realistic. The oil separator looks interesting? would like to know more about the design. Another great boat in your fleet.

Hello!
The steam enters tangentially inside the pot. So the oil sticks to the wall and falls down the bottom  with a bit of condensate, and most of the vapor escapes in the sky.
It is even better with an open pot in an open launch . There is virtually no water in the bottom after 40 min sailing.I realize that I forgot to show the propeller.
Regards.

Hello!
Thanks for your kind comments. ok2
I did not know this kit but it's good to know the manufacturer .
A nice one showing the steam tug with the right chimney!
Does this "Hartman , Douglas Greg Cy" proposes others kits? I ain't see any on the web.
Regards.
