via email to Mayhem....

Hi ModelBoatMayhem

It's been a long time since I sent the last newsletter out and I was tinkering with the site doing updates again....as I do...and thought I'd send this out today just to remind you the site is still here.

With Covid keeping us mostly a home at the moment I think some boredom has set into most peoples lives, hopefully it wont be too long before we can all go out eat, drink and socialise again and of course play your favourite sport or whatever you like to do outdoors or in the company of others.

The extreme weather is giving us all a battering at the moment I hope you haven't been badly affected by the snow, flooding or windy weather. It's OK for all those who have got hobbies that are done mostly indoors as you can keep warm and cosy, but for those outdoor hobbyists it has to be a nightmare at the moment and very frustrating. If you have any photos or info of the weather conditions near to you that you want to share with us please feel free to do so.

The 'Invites' button has been removed from the site as I found out that no one can sign up for a membership without an 'Invites' key which is sent out by the app by existing members, so now anyone can sign up with no barriers in their way so get your family and friends to come and join us and share their hobbies with us.

Since the last newsletter I have created a few bits, a few birdboxes with a difference and I have started building a model narrowboat from scatch, you can see them here http://www.davejohnson.co.uk/index.php?board=49.0

There are now a more individual hobby sections and if you feel you want to share your hobbies with us we would really like to see them. If you can't see a section that covers your hobby then let me know and I'll create it for you, let me know in the 'Suggestions' section here http://www.davejohnson.co.uk/index.php?board=11.0.

Finally, for those who don't know, I retired from work in April last year so I have been able, when weather permits, to get out on the golf course a lot more. It's been great not having to do everyday things to a timetable anymore and I'm enjoying my retirement.

Thanks for being a member, take care of yourself, your families and friends, stay safe and I hope to see you on the site again soon

Kind regards,

Dave
