Tito Neri schottels

Before I get the lump hammer out!...could someone please explain to me...how to remove my schottel out of my new to me Tito Neri?....please...it’s playing a game call ...I’m all seized up!!!....the "illigitimate"!......sorry!

Can’t help with the s hotels but I took Tito Neri from Norway to Venezuela on a delivery voyage in my yoof.





Top of the page. On arrival in Cumana we were greeted by a total eclipse of the sun.

We joined up with her sister ship with Italian crew at Las Palmas and went across the Atlantic in company cos they didn’t know the way.

Looking at the top of the drive, there should be a snap ring around the shaft thatsticks out of the top gear. #1 in the attached diagram.
 
Once the snap ring is removed, that should allow you to lift the top drive gear, #2, off of the shaft.
There should be a cross pin through the shaft. Slid that pin out, and the drive should drop away
 from gear #4, and out of the bottom of the boat.

Thank you, that is a great start uni.....so this is where I have a problem....I’ve done that ....released the four screws from the base of the schottel.....and nothing happens .....hence my ask for help, it appears to me the something has made the two parts to have seized together....I’ll try again...thanks, I just don’t want to damage it completely and wasn’t sure why there’s no movement from the nozzle!

A bit of penetrating oil to that tube then...
