The thing I liked most about Dave is that he was equally happy to seek advice as he was to offer his expertise.
I’m going to buy a bottle of JD to celebrate his memory I know he would approve

My condolences to his family......[I questioned in my mind why Colin was answering all of the ACTion questions a few days ago?]

His electronic signature will live on, on so many ACTion electrical instruction schematics sheets for years to come, helping his fellow modellers

Such sad news. I only spoke with Dave on some of the forums, but he was always very helpful and extremely knowledgeable.

Thoughts are with his family at this tough time.

Extremely sad news, the model boating fraternity has lost an icon. I never met him personally, but exchanged numerous emails with him over a period of time. He was always helpful, witty, and sometimes irreverent, a man I would love to have met. My sincere condolences to his wife and family.

Very sad News.  Dave helped me a lot in my early model boating days, about 15 years ago now. I met him a couple of times at shows and he was always pleasant and engaging to talk to.

I have just heard from Liz, she says it was lovely to read all the tributes to Dave. His funeral will be live streamed and there will be a video link as well. I will put up the details when I have them.

Very sorry to hear - my condolences to the family.
Only spoke to Dave a few times when puzzled with wiring - always chatty and helpful,
using his Action components - appreciated all his wiring diagrams he posted.
He'll be missed.

I never met Dave personally but the amount of help he gave me in relation to building the 41.1/2" original Huntsman out here in Australia was, as I was to find out, just the normal thing Dave did. He never asked for praise, never expected recompense He just gave of his best to all who asked.
Condolences to his wife and family.
RIP Dave.
