model boats magazine plan query
« on: March 17, 2021, 12:54:23 pm »

Hi all, I have just received April 2021 copy and very good too.  Can anyone remind me when the launch Rag Time was featured as a free plan in the magazine.  It is featured in 'Let there be light' article p 20.

Thanks for looking
Roy

Hi and thanks to Martin I have printed the list off.
The model referred to was a Gentlemans New York commuter launch if that helps.  It was referred to as A model magazine, Perhaps it was in International Marine Modelling magazine?
I have every edition of both mags in my 'archive' in the garage plus most of the Model Maker magazines as well.  It is just knowing where to look!

Found it! It was not a free plan but a feature plan design by John Parker under the name Vamoose in the 2011 Winter Special.

Sarik list it:

Well done Colin, I don't think I used to get the Specials so have missed it.  Never mind there is a plan available. Thanks to all who looked.
The plan list referred to by Martin last date to appear is Sept. 2007.

Could be a nice reference point to update to the present.  Anyone up for it?

I am happy to donate a fiver to the MBM website for an update!

I am more than happy to let Martin have a copy of my Excel sheet which details pretty well all the free mags, with sizes and scales if indicated as well as who produced it etc.

Also you can see all the covers of MB And MM here upto 2018 .   Have 2019-2021 to upload soon.
