My favorite RC boating scenes at our local lake
« on: April 08, 2021, 03:21:42 pm »

Hi RC model boaters;
I have been enjoying RC boating at our local lake 11km away from my home for many years up to
October two years before.Since then,we have been unable to do that due to the flood by typhoon and covid-19. <:( >>:-( >:-o
However the restoration work of the lake is supposed be complete through this May when we may restart the
long -waited boating again with many members.!! %% :D
Today to begin with  I will post to introduce my boats I have built or modified.
Details and my favorite boating scenes to come later.

Hi KitS;
A great thanks for your very kind comment.! :D
Yes, it is actually so large enough for our RC boating that it looks like an OCEAN for the RC boats. {-)
This is 3km long and 0.27km wide so that once it became one of the candidate sites for the boat races
of Tokyo Olympic Games. But luckily we are now able to use for our RC boating as it is,as evaluated to
require a tremendous amount of money to modify suiting for an official boat racing waters.
As a result,some water sports other than RC boating are permitted here to enjoy like the wind surfing, canoeing
and row boating,etc. O0 ♪~♬~♪~♫~
1;A bird-eye view of our boating site.The place actually we use is central upper water above the small bridge
  on right shore.
2/3;Our club boating scenes in the mid summer.
4;On the too hot day in the mid summer..
5;A member's steam ship sailing powerfully this day
6;My HMS Fencer passing by one another in the opposite direction at about 4-50m off the shore
  at slow speed.. {-)
7;In the windy day of the mid-winter,my Jupiter F-99(1m long)powered by 2200KV brushless water-cooled
  went suddenly into waves fiercely in the very wavy water.The bow went into the water at the moment which I
was so surprised. {-) %%
I am calling the sailing in the wavy water in winter "Adventure sailing in the winter" %%

But, of course, it is not sooo interesting to operate the boat in such a windy day as naturally the boat sometimes
  is influenced by the wind rather than my electric waves of the transmitter, though not to say "out of control". {-)

Hi RC model boaters;
The pics for today are of my luxury cabin cruiser Poseidon(ex-Bright sun named by the ARTR manufacture) modified
mainly at around cabin fittings and air flow window to cool better inside the enclosed hull in addition to the brushless motor water cooled.
This is about 1m long and very fast for a cruiser type boat,and very silent even at higher speed.
Drain of the cooling water is made from the both sides of the hull to cool the hot motor and ESC effectively.
For this purpose,water ingress is from the two hole around the rudder.
And I realised a harem aboard the boat as this is a luxury cabin cruiser. O0 {-) %%
1;At anchor
2/3/4;Onboard harem of my own dream only realised by 1/25 scale.. {-) %%
5;Air intake window
6;Air outlet doors
7;Sailing scene in which a cheerful,sharp and noisy voice of many beauties could be heard... {-)

 Watch the video of the Poseidon sailing fast leaving the wakes sharply as if enjoying the mid-summer sea cruising..

I've seen that photo before somewhere Stan, I remember thinking how real it looked partly because the figures on board look so natural.

Hi RC model boaters;

Pics for today on my Poseidon are just comparisons on some points,or so called "before and after". %%
1;This is a pic of the real boat.
2;While this one possibly at 1/25 of my boat in early stages of modifications.
3/4;After delivery stage
5;One of modifications,left ingress I added was only for ESC cooling,right by manufacture for the motor and ESC, now used only for the motor.
  These are,of course, intended to cool and circulate the water better ,effectively by the independent water flows.
  The cooling water is coming out from the both egresses powerfully by the independent water flows as seen in the
previous video,just as seen in high speed racing boats.
6/7;Repainted to get a traditional and gorgeous atmosphere by this navy blue. {-) O0

Hi RC model boaters;
Pics for today of my Poseidon are of mid-winter boating scenes.
It is normally slightly over O degee C here in Tokyo at the coldest which may be too warm as compared with London,UK..??
So I make it a practise to sail the RC boats even in the mid-winter.
The biggest obstacle is the very strong north wind sometimes blown up on the lake and I normally give it up to sail the boat when such a wind blows faster than 4m/s or more.The boat could be apt to lose her autonomy on the fierce waves under such tremendous wind.
1;"Well,then should we start the boating as it's too fine for the mid-winter with no wind, though cold instead!"
2;Started leaving a wide V-shaped wake at slow speed...
3;Snow capped Mt.Fuji and my Poseidon and....
  Mt.Fuji is about 110km away from here, but it could be seen normally in the mid-winter as the sky becomes so clear
  in this season..and "disappears" in the spring and beyond.
4;Poseidon is so slowly and calmly approaching the waterfowls but never they noticed until Poseidon came up to around
 1m to them.!!!They flew away only a fraction of a second to the approaching. {-) %%

Hi RC model boaters;
Pics for today are the RC boats in the nature of mid-winter that will make us feel seasonal features positively.
1;A piece of pic that shows typically one scene of silence of the cold mid-winter...blue sky,white Mt.Fuji,green bank and..
my Poseidon at anchor on a comparatively calm surface...
2/3;My Poseidon and member's steam ship sailing on so chilly a surface that is expressed clearly by the color of the deep blue water.... %%

Hi RC model boaters;

On the contrary,these are the pics taken in the mid-summer at our local lake.
It's too HOT here every summer as usual getting to 38 degree C which is rather dangerous if we
operate the boats for a long time in the sun.
In this sense, summer umbrellas are indispensable for us whenever we operate the RC ships in this season.

Hi RC model boaters;
Pics for today are to be entitled "The collaborations"as the model boats are sailing in a formation,together with
a standing boater, and 1/10 Jeep wrangler beside the RC boat all of which were taken in the day of mid-spring.
It was so cheerful to spend the time operating RC models sufficiently under a little bit hot spring in April.
However, around this season seems the best to enjoy the RC model operations here in Tokyo...not so hot,not so cold!!.. %%
When other boaters are enjoying their models on the water,I sometimes go around this area driving my 1/10 RC crawlers
for a while to take a rest ? My collaboration of both the RC boat and RC vehicle?? All day long is the RC operation time?? {-)

Hi all;
I have been to our boating lake today to check how it is now as it was reopened two days ago to the public,according to
the website in charge.This is much earlier than what was previously displayed in the bulletin on the site I saw many days ago. {-) %%
And I found a very nice water conditions for RC boating as the water level was completely restored as it had been about 1.5
years before except one thing.That is,our waterfront was still barricaded by the ropes which was rather contradictory
to the announcement  in the website.!! >>:-( What should we do with these ropes? The workers on the site forgot to retrieve them from there?? I want to believe so.!!! %%
1;This is completely OK for RC boating !! :-))
2;The water level is full.The width may have been about 275m.!!as in the map.
3;The opposite shore is seen like this 275m away from here.
4;Our boating water area is seen like this from the nearest bridge.The red colored barricades can be seen... >:-o
5;Even many doves look so welcoming this conditions cheerfully ,watching so seriously the surface not escaping from me at all.!! {-)
6;A RC yacht is already sailing !!!
7;OK ,next is my turn in the very near future!! %%

Hi all;

We are entering into what we call"Golden week" to start from 29th through 6th May,one of the longest holidays here in Japan.
During this periods,people in general spend as their own ways ,mainly as to go on a trips by cars or trains to enjoy a such long vacations,what is better,the weather is normally good to do whatever they like.!! {-) %%
However,covid-19 is severely standing high in front of us as if to have prevented from doing such things ,
based upon the policies of our government not to go outdoors for fear that they may come across closely in the crowded cities or towns.... <:( {:-{
But,our lake side is nevertheless rather vacant normally even in this periods since they go out other places for their recreations,as this lake is rather near enough to come anytime they wish. %%
I may carry this old flag ship to the lake for the very first run in this year.The modified Jupiter F-99 brushless motor water cooled,99cm long,42 years old still in completely in service, revived with the change of powerplant from 60 class 2 stroke glow engine made by Enya brand.
1;Neatly checking before starting!
2;Ready and go, wishing her a safe return here with no trouble on the large surface..... {:-{
3/4/5;Cruising magnificently on the water as my flag ship... {-) %% O0 not so extremely fast...as a scale boat..
6;OooPs, is she going far too close to the opposite shore about 275m away from our waterfront ??? {-)
7;A beauty of the lake ??like an old noble lady? {-) O0
