Waterproof deck switch advice
CJ1:
I am trying to source a waterproof deck switch for the battery for my IOM one metre yacht, so that I don't have to open the hatch to switch off between races. I've seen the RMG one on an IOM before but can't find where to obtain them in the UK.
What has anyone used successfully that they can recommend please?
thanks
Chris

HiCJ1, what most do is fix a slide switch inside the boat, with a hole drilled in the lever, use a rod through the hole
Extended to outside the hull through a bellows to keep it waterproof and switch the switch via a pull/push operation.
Have you tried Component shop?

Colin Bishop:
If you Google waterproof toggle switch or waterproof rocker switch you will come up with plenty of options, many on Amazon.
They are commonly used in full size boats for switching 12v accessories.

RST:
RS components have plenty of waterproof latching pushbuttons which look similar to the blurry pics I can find of your chosen ones. Not sure if they are low profile enough for you but they're not "high". I don't think you need a vat account to buy from them anymore but I might be wrong.
