Vosper fire tender coupling
« on: April 17, 2021, 09:59:28 am »

Can anybody help me find a coupling from Ed racer to prop. Was 1/4" thread I believe to a ball with a pin through it at the other end locating into the slot of the flywheel. Seems to have become obsolete

I notice that no one has been able to advise you, it's been nearly 50 years since I ran an ED Racer, so I can't remember thread sizes etc, but I do remember that the ball and socket coupling just unscrewed from the crankshaft. Once that's off you'll probably have to get a modern coupling and re thread one end to go on the engine. I always found Prestwich models very helpful, try contacting them, they specialize in ic models.

As far as I can tell 1/4 UNF seems to be the female coupling size, and usually the ball was 2 BA
