Here follows some photos of my model dinghy 'Titmouse', taken from the real life character dinghy featured in Arthur Ransomes 'Coot Club' and 'Big Six' series.

It was reading 'Coot Club' that turned me onto taking Broads holidays, an amazingly realistic book. I've still got a copy as well!


And your Titmouse looks terrific too.  :-))

I love those books, have done since childhood on the Broads back in the early 60s.


The BBC made a series of the same, which showed the Broads Yacht Teasel, of which I am currently finishing off a scale half Hull Model of... I shall take some pics of her soon and post, you'll love her lovely lines. Still in hire today with the Hunters Yard at lovely Ludham Dyke on the Broads.


I may just sell the half model, but unsure, just need to see the interest in her.
