The last 200 bits to do as always but here's how she is today. Never going to be 100% due to the lack of info but I hope she's a fair representative.

Spectacular Tony, she looks every part of a Victorian era vessel. Stunning.

Many thanks, I am quite pleased with the overall look and hopefully she'll look the part on the water. Definitely some odd bits of course, especially the placing of the "heads" as far as poss from the superstructure. Not a temporary arrangement since they appear on the drawings and any photos {:-{

Deeeeelicious Tony! She looks amazing. I bet you  are pleased with how she came out?

The Insect Class gunboats also put the heads as far away as possible from everything else but they were quite cramped.

Thanks Ian but have you noticed the deliberate error with the comfort stations? The Insects, logically, had them at the back end so all was left behind them whereas Willie...........? %)

Very nice indeed and well done for such an unusual model. If you need to make oars for the boats, use thin plastic rod and flatten the end 1/3rd in a smooth jaw vice. It make an oar in about 3 seconds! Squash it too much and you end up with a paddle!

Cheers

That's it! All that's left is to play around with about 3lbs of ballast and then on to the water! The Bloedvlag (bloodflag), courtesy of Mike from Scale Flags, is the battle flag used by the Dutch and others from the 17th century.

A really splendid looking model, very well done. Its nice to see models of unusual early warships. We all look forwards to some on the water shots!

Cheers

Many thanks for the comments, I'm quite pleased with her since the original project started about 20 years ago. She's definitely not 100% since there's not a lot of co-ordinated info to go on so I suppose you could call her a "caricature" of the ship. Sadly, she's going to have to go, along with a couple of other models, to make room in the shed for the next new project which is rather large (5ft+) along with a current 5ft+ build where I've lots of "functions" to get set up but she has 'lived'. She'll probably go on Klunks "Bring and Buy" at Wickie after a decent sail. Meanwhile, she's now wet her bottom and frightened the goldfish and Fred the frog in our pond.                                             Thanks again, Tony ;)
