Bob told me it was 1/72 scale when I collected the CVA-01 from him- another truly stunning build be Bob :-))

Was this a test bed for this class, as the domes are lower than the bridge, did the rest of the class swap this around so the domes were higher, is this the bristol that the kids spend time on in portsmouth?

There was no 'rest of the class', the Bristol was the only one of the Type 82s built. They were designed as escorts for the CVA01 carrier, but were cancelled along with the carrier.


It would have been the same Bristol that your kids spent time on, but it's now been decommissioned and moved off its old mooring.

Nope one of a kind,the domes are orginal and have always been that size, and yes it was the accomdation ship for forces including Cadets
