Club Insurance - Officer's liability and Public Liability
« on: July 28, 2021, 08:05:46 am »

Now that our Club (Furness Model Boat Club in Barrow ) are "resurfacing" from the pandemic, we thought it would be a good idea to take a fresh look at our insurance cover.
Anyone got some ideas on good group offers, Brokers etc? (We operate scale, sail and fast i/c and electrics.)

Hi Contact Markel Direct Based in Leeds we have used for a number of years. Of course this only one company and I am sure you will wish to get a few quotes.

I’ve with few others have just started up a new organisation called South Coast Modellers and we have taken insurance out with CGI Services Ltd t/a Stamp Insurance Services . The cost for this was £68.80

Just to report back and thank everyone (Stan in particular) for all the help.

I don't want to give any details because we are still negotiating things but it is already clear that if your Club (or your household for that matter) are suffering financially, then it pays to shop around!

Many thanks,

David
