Looks like one of John Hemmens with those fittings.

It could easily be a special from Maxwell-Hemmens or Hemmens but is it a 4" one or just VERY small?

Irrespective of the manufacturer, would the boiler not have a unique serial number or the like for the purposes of boiler test & certification in accordance with your UK Boiler Test Code?

Derek

[PS......in Australia, our AMBSC has established a Database of every boiler registered within any Club associated with the AMBSC....it works,  :-))

I have photographed & digitised each Test Certificate the six ILS [6] Boiler Registration books [some 360 Records], so any person bringing a boiler/engine to a Club, if he has lost his Test Certificate....we can search & validate it's history

Attached is an example of the 1st Boiler Test Certificate for ILS recorded in 1968]

Hi Tony
Although "New Old" there doesn't seem to be an I.D. I reckon its around 20 yr old . I did try to contact JH but no reply as yet !.

Derek
The club I belong to holds computer records of all the boilers that pass through their hands, this has never been tested or used other than I suspect the original manufacturer.

Thanks for the replies,
Mike
