Fittings for 1:12 scratch-built Liverpool BHMH
« on: August 12, 2021, 01:33:20 pm »

I have fully detailed plans, to scale, of the Liverpool BHMH. I will build the model based on a Sarik hull. I am in the process of locating any deck fittings that may be purchased commercially. What I cannot find will be scratch built. If you have done a similar project and found some commercial parts that were usable, could you
please share what you found? Thank you.

Hello DimReaper -
The Sarik hull comes with a basic plan. I also obtained plans from RNLI and, if I remember, the company who is restoring the real boat. I had a print shop print these at the actual scale so I could have templates. It was expensive do I don't want to just give them away. At the moment I can't remember how much it cost. The project has been shelved for the moment as I have 4 significant boat models planned and ready to start before that.  At this point if you wanted to buy the hull and everything I might consider shipping to you - but that shipping can get pretty pricey.

It was just a copy of the plans I was after
Would you have them as a digital copy?

Kind regards

Hi Steve -
I just checked and the only digital I have is from RNLI. I have some cross sections but it looks as if the company that sent them to me was clear that their photos etc weren't to be redistributed. I'm sorry I can't help more. If you can provide your email I could forward the RNLI drawings.

Hi Tim
Dave Metcalf does a kit for a Liverpool class lifeboat now in 1:12 scale.

Not sure that helps
