If its really Spektrum DSM receivers you need, I have some non-Spektrum park flyer types which I could spare. How many do you need?

AFAIK DSM2 is backwards compatible with DSM according to google
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234087590711

A DSM2 Tx will operate a DSM Rx PROVIDED its not been repaired by Spektrum. AS DSM, (and DSM2?) is illegal in the UK Txs going for repair have the DSM compatibility removed. A DSM receiver will not work on a DSM2 or DSMx Tx.

Actually it is only a new DSM or DSM2 transmitter that is illegal in the UK and EU. Existing transmitters were grandfathered in and are legal to use. (new receivers are still legal but obviously Spectrum is unlikely to sell any as they are concentrating on DSMX) Repaired DSM transmitters shouldn't need to have DSM disabled unless the  RF section is replaced but Spectrum doesn't want DSM to contnue to be used. It is a very poor implementation of spread spectrum.
Incidentally the multi protocall transmitters still have DSM and DSM2 protocalls built in as well as more modern ones, rather doubtful as to legality, thery get away with it as they say you don't have to use them. The problem with DSM and DSM2 (and Futaba FASST) is they do not comply with the listen before transmitting protocall. All new transmitters in the EU (and UK) must check that a frequency is free before transmitting on it  and must only transmit for a very short time before switching to another one after first checking if it is free. DSM is particularly bad as it only uses 2 frequencies and only switches if the one it is using shows interference.
