« on: August 17, 2021, 11:59:07 am »

Anybody know anything about these, (https://shop.omra.co.uk/products/mk-54-cat-hull)  I fancy something large, there are a few out there, but hard to get information on anything, have emailed him, am waiting for the guy to get back to me,
Has anyone used him?

Mark Copley is a great guy, I use his shafts in all my boats. I've not personally seen an MK54 go but they've won the OMRA championship among other things. Best way to contact Mark is via Facebook but he will get back to you I'm sure.
Have a look at his personal site, http://mcopracing.co.uk/

Change of plan, the MK54 was going to take 8 weeks to come so i have put that on hold, could be a winter project, In the meantime i bought a second hand Phantom, took it to the club, had a few issues with it, starting chord broke so a non starter, But that was not the end, one of the guys had a spare flywheel, so engine out pull start taken off, clutch taken off with a bit of faffing, flywheel on, but then the shaft was to short. but did manage to fire up the engine, so all good, a couple of mods to do, so much help from the guys at Stevenage boat club, Have to wait a couple of weeks before we try again, but when all the mods are done should be good to go.
