Veron Vintage Thames Police Launch
« on: July 19, 2021, 12:10:24 pm »

Hi All

I pick these up some time ago with the original plans and three copies!!

I replaced the old motor( very noisy) with a 540 80 Turn brush motor.

A few bits had to be installed back on, at less they were with the boat.

I covered the rear seat with a leather like product which I pick up while shopping with the boss !!!

My first run with the boat was on 2S Lipo battery which gave the boat a bit over scale speed.

The second run was on 3S Lipo and boy did it get up and go!!!

It runs a bit of a wet boat because of no chine or spray rails.

I REALLY like these Tames Police Launches, I just think they are such a good looking boat.
Always a model that I like to see and definitely a model that I intend to build at some point having already printed the plans in two different sizes.

What motor and esc are you using Canabus?

I almost bought a 1:1 scale one a good few years ago, but hesitated for too long and someone else got in there.

Hi All

The boat is off to another club member at a fair price.
It was a bit small for me and I have the 36" one still.

I had to make room for another boat coming south from the old country !!!!

I have been looking for this boat with International Postage for years and finally it's on the way.

Hope to live long enough after the boss see it !!!
