Distance from parking to sailing jetty/lakeside/pondside?
« on: August 24, 2022, 02:33:45 pm »

My reason for asking aside :-

1) How far do you have to walk from parking to the place you prepare and sail from ?

2) Is that walk with the assistance of a trolley/wheels/etc. or carried by hand ?

This is not just idle interest but a small survey to see how authorities 'care' about reasonable access to their facilities.
Thankyou, in advance, for anyone responding.

Colwyn Bay's licence grants members lakeside parking 24/7.   We hold keys to the bollard on the access road which limits everyone else to a free car park 80metres away.

Millbrook lake is owned by the Environment agency, if alone we can park 25ft away or if more we can drop our boats off and park in the local football club car park about 250 ft away of which we are extremely grateful.

Whiteley Model Boat Club about 20 to 30 feet depending on which route you take.
