Got my drives from Ocean Works today. :-))
I have been waiting a while for them but well worth the wait, to say I'm pleased with them would be an understatement.
Nozzles 120mm outside diameter at widest part
inside diameter 103 mm
props 100mm

Here is a photo showing both of the drives that I bought, the first drives were the 90mm nozzles, these are for my other build the
MAI PO Hong Kong harbour tug.

Hi all, finally got back to the build after quite some time tidying up the workshop and setting up the new lathe, I have started to fit the new drives into the hull, here's a couple of photos showing the progress.

That's some heavy-duty hardware you've got there Brian but so neatly installed as well. Great job, should be another winner.  :-))

Decided to do a leak test and ballast check today, she was in the tub for at least an hour NO LEAKS👍, ballast check I added 37Kg to get her down near enough to the water line, that was ok as she will be quite a lot heavier by she is complete.

With the redesign of the bathroom, was the main criteria in specification ........'that the bath was just large enough'?   :embarrassed:

37 kg + x kg = ouch!

May I ask, on the superstructure are you laminating styrene to ply? If so, are you bonding them with superglue or something else?

Thanks  :-)) .... I'm experimenting with a very similar process on my Damen, which I have to say has been quite successful on the mock-ups I've made so far.

It’s been a while since adding some photos but I have made a bit more progress on the build. After checking how much ballast would be needed to get her down to her water line the delay has been making good access points for easy fitting of ballast and batteries, after giving it some thought I decided to make the whole planked area removable this has worked out quite well if repairs to the drive headgear is needed. The other section midships that is primed is another removable section, the big stern winch will be fitted on to this.
I normally mark out the deck plates with a scriber to simulate weld lines but I thought I would see what individual plates looked like, I was quite pleased with the outcome and won’t need any filer between deck and bulwarks as the plate are a good fit, I made the deck plates from 1mm plasicard. The access hatch in the planked area lifts out this will be a good place for on/off switches for the ESC’s.I have decided to name the new build UNION BOXER and I will be painting her in the colours she was originally built.
