Started first go yesterday after fixing fuel leaks. Still needs a bit more tuning but it’s a winner.
I might be displaying for the first time this Sunday

Cave is evolving nicely and only one tiny roof leak to fix yet.

Thanks Phil.

Lots happened since.
Did my first display outing at Kiplin Hall nr. Richmond and booked for my next at Newby Hall 4th June.
1945 Petter A now has a new trolley

I bought another pump to restore, approx a spritely 50 yrs old

Climax is now colour co ordinated and the engine will drive both pumps in tandem at the show

My 1952 A1 is now 100% perfect
https://youtu.be/C6Ie7b1A4RA

101% since sourcing period decal

Still enough room to operate

Yesterday at Balne Moor

Perhaps getting a little tight, lots of shuffling around to achieve a way out

No compressors in here Howard just lots of wind  %%

Yes green does seem to dominate in various shades  O0  hence my venture into blue for the latest pump.

My display for Newby Hall in June is almost prepared. Thanks to the Climax pump I'm not the oldest part on display  {-)

I require 2.6 metres plus walk around space

Looking ahead brains are better than brawn. Electric winch £69.99 delivered and I’ve ordered a weight gauge to go with it.

Just come back from Cyprus and believe I have seen one of these type of machines sat in the yard of a business, was travelling between Protarus (in the East of the island above Agya Napa), and Paralimini, as you turn off the main road at the lights towards Panerna, there is this company, unsure as to what they are growing but they have a very large pool being fed and on the other side of the wall which is lower than the ground is the dark green paint body work with a black exhaust and top section slightly visable from the bus, should have made the wife walk from Panerna to have a look, its all up hill and it would have been fun as we had just been to Speedy Gonzales and were in the words of the fast shows drunk old man in a chair - we were very very drunk, at about 1:17 were these size of wheels (it had a double belt wheel arrangement), just thought you might like to know.

I doubt there's many places in the world that you won't find British made stationary engines, The industrial revolution is entirely the fault of Britain pre electricity days  O0

I've had to travel far for some of my engines etc but last week I got a Lister D type and four water pumps only 15 mins from home that are keeping me busy for weeks to come.

I was never interested in a Lister D as they made millions  {-)  but it was cheap and I had it running in half an hour https://youtu.be/ueq_Mx21kM8
This will be stored for some time now while I continue with the pumps

This Lister H1 is the first up and is proving a challenge undoing years of abuse by incompetent users.

I never imagined I would ever restore a Lister D type engine but this came up locally at the right price so using half a gallon of diesel at the most was a clincher.
Your not supposed to do this with an unknown engine but I thought what the heck! it already had petrol in. I soon sorted out a fouled spark plug and off it went.

This is from mid to late 1950 so 72 yrs old

https://youtu.be/ueq_Mx21kM8

A couple of weeks later its almost completely rebuilt, just the petrol tank to repair and fit.

Tomorrow I'm taking ownership of my fifth Petter.

Fair play Andy, other than your boats, you've got a fine selection of stationary engines haven't you.
I haven't done anything with my Stuart Turner P55 as yet and I have a generator with a Petter AV2 running it that I run from time to time. Neither are restored, but I would like to one day.
Having mine looking as smart and presentable as yours is something for me to aim for.

Just about finished but silencer is broken and it needs a new air valve spring.

Fuel tank is now all good at great expense and patience
