I have recently joined this group and I have posted a couple of photos without any problems, but now I can't seem to post a photo.
I click on manage attachment, choose file. The file comes up but I cant seem to add it to my post.


Looking forward to hearing what the problem might be.

Try this assuming you already have an Album


So you clicked on the wee green camera icon
 you dragged or drop your Pic.  Below that pic you scroll down a touch and click upload
assuming you already have an album?.The box should then vanish once uploaded
Now click on thecamera  icon again box comes back empty  in top left hand corner click on the 3 bars   and from the column of options click on your name  then Albums you should now have  some options  click images and you then scroll down and click on the  image required it should now be in the box. There should be a vertical list om the right  tick the box at the top to select the pic is now ready to be dragged or clicked into the reply box

Thats correct. If I hit preview I only get text.
I have resized photo's to fit.

Your screen shot is not showing??  No, I don't have the green icon.

All I have is Attachments and other options. The only other icon I have is insert image which I think is ok if I have my photos uploaded to a hosting site.

Paul you say you have posted Photos  well I just viewed all your posts and the only one with a photo is mine with the Screen shot methinks Martin needs to investigate when he has time. Is your screen showing different  to mine

I checked re OP's other posts straight out after he said he had troubles and it does indeed look like he posted 2 photos, steam engines if I recall. As to why not working since I don't know if all else is the same.

I too have experienced missing photos, I have found that when I respond to a notification email it takes me to the forum without logging inand some, but not all pictires display.


When I log in I get them all.

You have to be logged in to view attachments or pics hosed on the forum rather than pasted from 3rd party hosted.  It's not great but some  forums just lock-out posts completely so could be worse.

I am on a macbook and I have tried on Chrome and Safari. I have seen the other options but I prefer the attachment system. As it worked well in my first thread I am confused as to why it is not working now.


As I can not post a pic I will make a short vid of what I am doing and maybe that can give some idea of whats happening.

Dougal. You are correct.


On every other forum that I am a member of I can preview the post with the picture. When I tried to preview here no picture comes up, so I assumed no pic would come up when I posted.
