Taranis X9D Plus RX
« on: October 27, 2021, 05:34:00 pm »

I have a second hand Taranis X9D Plus dated 2016/08/06. EU LBT sticker on rear.

Mode XJT D16
CH1-16 (18MS)
01  BIND ....
01-08 telemetry

Should I be able to bind to a new X8R  receiver?

Receiver is brand new and does bind to an X9E.

You might need to update the firmware on the transmitter if it hasn't been done already, if original it is quite old. Check on the FrSky website to see if there are updates available.

check to see if the receiver has "ACCST" or "ACCESS" on its label.  if it has "ACCESS" take it back to wherever you got it.  it will never work with your radio.

it's got the ACCST on the radio.

Yep been to frysky and downloaded latest firmware.

Suspecting that it has an old DJT tx, and not the XJT.

Taranis X9D plus internal RF deck is an XJT, capable of working with the X8R, i have several X8R in my stable with my X9D...  you mentioned the RX worked with an X9E..   are all the devices EU LBT?  did you make sure to select EU LBT when binding with the RX on both TXs?  i can choose many of those options when binding.

Yes, EU LBT on all devices.

XJT firmware XJT_ACCST_2.1.0_LBT.frk

Tried an earlier version, same results.
