Remote Switch
« on: October 25, 2021, 09:39:39 am »

Hi guys, below is a wiring diagram that I've done that shows my current electrics layout, i have this remote switch: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-receiver-controlled-switch-1.html

I want to be able to switch my two misters on/off as and when using my TX. How would i connect this switch that would allow me to do this? I'm guessing the switch would need to be placed inline between the P107 & the 12>24v Converters, but I'm unsure how to connect both of them to this remote switch as i would obviously want it to switch both misters on/off at same time?

The switch cant go inline between the converters & the misters as the total voltage would be just under 45v (I've set the converters to 22v) & the switch has max voltage of 30v.

Any help much appreciated! thanks :)

From what I can see you had it all worked out...

The RC switch(Turnigy) for the misters needs to be between the 12v fused positive output of the P107 and the inputs (both positive leads tied together so they switch as the same time) of the 12>24v Convertors.

Worth checking current rating
of the turnigy switch
against current draw of the paired
converters to the misters.

Turnigy switch  - I guess is a MOSFET unit Rated Maximum throughput : 10A / 30v

Common step up convertors 12 > 24 volt is likely rated @ 4 amps

Common Ultrasonic "Mist Makers" are rated at 24v 2 amps ( they do get HOT!)

hi guys :)

all sorted, here's what i did...

I've give it a good test, ran everything for about 40+ mins, seems to be all ok (touch wood!) the converters only got warm a little so that's a bonus i guess!

Now for the fun task of cable management because atm its like someone just dropped a plate of spaghetti on my circuit board...

Ohhh the fun!! :D

I've decided I'm going to add an P103 Parallel Power Board so i can hook up 2x battery to double the capacity which in total will be 44Ah (each batt is 22 Ah) :)
