RC operated aircraft carrier models
« on: October 27, 2021, 05:31:37 am »

Hi frogman3 ;

Max number of planes loaded aboard the full scale HMS Fencer was I understand were 22 while I have 23 Seafire fighters for my 1/96 Fencer. However,actual number of Seafire I put on the flight deck is 14 for the convenience'sake to get easy access to the inside radio gears at the sailing spot.
1/2;22 planes are set on the flight deck.
3/4/5;When sailing on the water,around 14 planes are suitable to keep an easy maintenance on the shore.
   Moreover,this is not an attack carrier like USS super carriers so that it's rather strange if the planes were loaded fully and I think even 14 planes are rather many for the CVE Fencer,perhaps...? %% {-) O0
6/7;Fighter No1 is now taking off at full throttle and flaps fully down,tail gear up passing beside the bridge, seen off by the crews wishing a safe return.!!!! {-) O0 %% ok2
8;Fighter No2 has also started the engine for take off..The deck is surrounded by so tense an air.... {-) {-) {-)

Hi frogman3;
Amazingly huge hull,first of all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)) :o O0 {-) ♫~♩~♫~ :o
I can't find any suitable words to express exactly my present impressions when I have just seen the pic.!!!
How I envy you and your space to work for the ship as well as so cooperative and broad-minded wife. :-))
Without such a wonderful wife's cooperation,a great model of RCed gigantic super carrier could not be successfully done...
I am waiting for the pics showing nice sailing on the water like a real ship.!!

Hi Chris,

Yor wife Jen must be long suffering of bits and painting everywhere in the house, you don't need a "please don't touch card" on that!

(No offence intended:  Please don't take it the wrong way -just the second picture you posted of someone looks very commtted to the other halves cause and some very friendly chuckling seeing it)

Superb models in all cases.  Would love to have the patience to make something that size, I would never see it through.  When I was a kid one of my plastic models was HMS Victorious but I was probably pre-teens and made a bit of a mess of it though I had it on the shelf for years until the usual problem with the humbrol plastic cement in tube type dried out and it started to fall apart!

Hi frogman3;

First of all,I am awfully sooooory to be late in replying to your postings that include many marvelous pics of USS Nimitz 1/144. I am a part time worker who works 2-3days a week and got back home one hour before today ,though I am too old now. And I have been watching your pics now in detail and they looked really magnificent every inch the USS Nimitz.!!! O0 {-) :-)) :-)) :-))
"Stunning and exceptional work of model ship in every part of the carrier "is my impression.!!!
My HMS fencer is a model ship while your USS Nimitz is a real ship merely scaled down to 1/144.!! {-) O0 %%
In other words,I am a model ship builder while you are a shipwright. I am correct, amn't I, sir??? {-) %% ok2

1/2;Diesel engine sound unit, while actual main engine of the full scale carrier was steam turbine.!!!!!! {-) {-)
3;Ballast test using 2.3m swimming pool.
4;HMS Fencer 1/96 going back to Greenock for maintenance....?? {-) {-) {-) ok2
