Salvage tug Yorkshireman
« on: October 27, 2021, 09:47:59 pm »

Early spring I managed to buy a kit of the "Yorkshireman" by model slipway. Last week I finished the build and I want to show you the outcome. The tug is equipped with a P94 (Action Electronics) dual ESC plus mixer, two 775 motors, a separate ESC for the bow thruster, many light features (mixture of light bulbs and LED's), rotating radar and a tug horn sound system. Everything is powered by one 12V lead battery and one 3s Lipo. I hope to put her in the water soon.

Hope you like the pictures.

Regards
Wilhelm

I remember the build review in the magazines when it first came out many years ago.  It's great to see something like this resurface fresh again!

Thanks Andy and Rich for your kind remarks. I did want to build this tug years ago and when I finally decided to do so, Model Slipway went out of business. Anyway it's been lots of fun building the old tug.

Your layout is disgusting... much too clean and orderly. I can follow everything, That is wrong! :embarrassed:
If I tried to build like that, I would only finish one boat in a lifetime..... Very nice.

That's a great result. Such a shame that the kit's no longer produced as your version would have inspired a few.
