A barge for my harbor tug

Hallo,


last year it came the idea for a pull/push toy suitable for my harbor tug "Fairplay VI".


During the build it became more as intended and additional ideas were realised.


The video gives a summary of the build.

Found another set of base plates for the barge; this set should display some equipment for demolition-work, which needs to done from the waterside.





First a scale demolition excavator was ordered at Amazon and equipped with signs of a more local company.





The base plates were weathered and other equipment (mostly CNC-milled Cut-outs) were obtained.





Next step is building the equipment and finding a senseable location on the barge.







So far so good

the additional equipment was build (glued) and some different positions for it were tested

the excavator got two guide-rails for safe operation:

it is also now secured with chains to lock him into place:

a barge with the equipment as described above was launched yesterday for the first time:

The payload has now reached its limit; at full throttle the front of the barge gets flooded (see Video):
