Lesro 575
« on: November 02, 2021, 08:50:55 am »

Hi mayhemmers,

Years ago I had a lesro 575 which would be ideal for me now as it's relatively small with not much draft, ideal for the quarry pit lake.

I had contact with a chap who had one but feel it's cost would be beyond my reach.

What kits are available these days, not tooo big with shallow draft ?

Thanks

Thanks for the replies...5k dollars ! Are they mad ?

They where a nice kit, enjoyable to make, dry boat that sailed well and good fun, but not 5k's worth, I want one to sail on the local lake .

Just to clarify, the lesro 575 as in the picture above, has a "bilge keel" design/shape hull ?

if you want a small yacht kit of similar proportions without too deep a keel, how about a Graupner micro Magic?

Yes, the instructions tell you how to fill it full of lead shot and plaster of paris. Works a treat.  :-))
