THIS IS A FREE SAILING EVENT. ALL BOATS CAN USE THE LAKE UNLESS SPECIFIED (LARGE FAST ELECTRICS AND IC DEMOS)
PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TABLES, CHAIRS AND GAZEBOS IF REQD
PLEASE BRING ANY BOATS UNDER CONSTRUCTION IF YOU WANT, AND PLEASE ASK FOR ADVICE, THERE ARE PLENTY OF EXPERIENCED BUILDERS!



PLEASE REMEMBER, THE EVENT IS FREE, BUT YOU WILL NEED TO PAY FOR PARKING VIA THE METERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE PARK!


Camping
camping is available, we normally have a site set aside for us for the weekend.

please note, if you book camping for Saturday night, it will say 2 days! this is to do with the booking system. ie 2 days 1 night.


Parking
there will be a marshalled carpark for our use. This is 50m from lakeside. If you require help unloading, please ask. There will also be a couple of trolleys around for use.

Rules
we try to operate with as few rules as possible, but common sense MUST prevail
PLEASE FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN BY MARSHALLS AND EVENT ORGANISERS
1. No IC boats Except for the demo boats from Stevenage Club
2. Fast electrics, please run safely giving way to other boats.
3. please use the frequency board if using 27 and 40 meg. Please bring a peg with your name on to put in place of required peg. return all pegs when not in use
4. 2.4ghz do not require frequency control, we have regularly had 40 boats on the water at any time during these events
5. THERE WILL BE ANNOUNCEMENTS TO VACATE THE LAKE FOR IC DEMOS OR LARGE FAST ELECTRICS. PLEASE VACATE IMMEDIATELY
6. If you have an accident, please apologise immediately.
7. always be situationally aware of yours and others boats around yours boat, especially submarines and smaller boats
8. DO NOT BLOCK THE PATHWAY WHILE USING YOUR BOAT. REMEBER THE PUBLIC ARE IN ATTENDANCE
9. DO NOT ENTER THE WATER. THERE WILL BE WATER MARSHALS LAKESIDE TO HELP IF REQUIRED (LOOK FOR HIGH VIZ JACKETS)

Mayhem at Wicksteed continues to grow massively year on year, which is why this year for the first time we're going to have to use parking marshals to keep everything in check.

We'll have these available on the day, but to make everything much smoother please do prepare by printing out the below image to put on your dashboard when parked.

Parking fees of £6 a day still do apply when you're parked lakeside, the park has ANPR cameras and they do issue tickets if you don't pay. Unfortunately this is something we have zero control over.

It is incredibly easy to pay for parking via the Ring Go app, or you can visit the kiosk at the top of the hill by the main car park
