Hi Derek
We went sailing at Abingdon marina . It was a windy day but near the slipway were we sail it is sheltered. She can take a fair bit of wind nece one of my resevations of going to 6v for main drive power is the reduction in power avaible to get her out of a problem.
You have hit the nail on the head on Lipo as that is what I am thinking as it is a mazing how light they are for the power they give.

Second set of sea trials. I have fixed the leak on the bow thruster . I tried the main motor 720 on 3 different voltages 6v ,7.1v , 12v and noted the Amps. The bow thruster was tested on 6v and 7.1v . On 12v she is to fast and on 6v she doesn't quite have the power in reserve req. at 7.1v she ran perfect and both motors between them pulled at full power only 3ah very pleased. Now I am designing the Electrics.

The bulk of the eletrics are done and tested . The servo leads need tyding up. Mods done to the F14 transmiter . New smoke unit made and plumbed in .Been work on the mid car deck . I now have 6 lane meters LOL. The upper decks are cut and have several small internal jobs to do before they are glued in. Got the anchor winch from Germany made and working . She is a bit bow heavy ,may have to live with that. I hope to take her to the deans marine show next week end.

Keep her away for the Custom & Excise people :police: ........they may ask about all that white powder  {-) ...do you have a mini vacuum cleaner?

The detail of Black Art wiring is complex...but pretty tidy  :-))

Keep us posted with more images as you progress ..............Derek

Hello
the white powder was filler + fiber glass dust. I had just done some sanding prior to the photo being taken. The wiring stills need a bit more tiding ,thats on the list prior to the deck going down. Thanks for your nice comments.

First time I've seen this build. Absolutely STUNNING  :-))  The attention to detail is staggering.
Any chance of a video of her sailing and all the detail parts that move?

Keep the photo's coming & thanks for sharing.

Nice handrail work John  :-))

As for the dayglow - on the Pride of Hythe we mixed Humbrol red with Humbrol orange and this seems to give a fair representation.  OK, it isn't actually dayglow, but I think you will agree from the photos it isn't a bad likeness.  Dayglow colours are a 'funny' sort - they never go on very well - either by brush or by spray - even in 1:1 scale.
