Not sure what it for. But it there on the real ship and there are air intake vents as well . Could be a Generator.

Done some more detailing. 6 small masts on the bridge roof and a conduite on the roof.  Finished the Cranes off. Took her sailing at Deans Marine .
now working on the Jacobbes ladder

Hello Small Updated
Been doing more details. Done some mods to the anchor chain guides I am having it so the port one is locked down and the starboard one is open.
 Added the chains to life raft area. What a pain.  Last made up some sort of water tank that sits on the roof.
 Going to order some brass blacking to blacken the brass anchors
 Still working on the Jacobs ladder area. Nead to get some green material to cover the balsa former

The Trucks are 1:87 Ho Scale . had them for years . They came from Howes models many years ago when the had a big batch of mint second hand trucks .
You can find trucks like that on ebay or model ralway shops
