I remember buying that one from the local newsagents - seeing that cover brings back a flood of memories.

From Model Boats November 1965, I am not sure I could have sorted this out into cutting patterns.....
The upload has been rotated and squashed, not sure how to correct that

You're right, what a nightmare plan by todays standards!

Can you scan the rest of that article please, Kinmel ?   :-)

A couple of things I'd like to read up on;
 battery above prop shaft,
 battery recommended,
 coupling type,
 controller type,
 radio,

That is a coincidence !
------------------------------------------
You ask for more reading

 coupling type,
 controller type,
 radio,

I hate to disappoint you, R.A. Sweet did not specify them; there was probably only one option available then, maybe no option at all !

Below is the rest of his article, these 3 photos show all the information provided for the build.

One of the critical issues in photocopying is to either use a flat bed scanner or you can almost guarantee to get a "keystone" effect where the picture forms a perspective view and this is very hard to correct as it is not just the top vs the bottom lengths but also the left and right heights.

It requires many accurate measurements to skew the picture back to the right aspect ratio and then accurate scaling to get it back to a useful proportion. Attached is the best I can do without accurate measurements to correct it properly actual of scale waterline length, centreline length beam and any other would allow a more proportioned rendition.

Even then I chopped off the keel, just required more attention. >>:-(

A little research found https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showatt.php?attachmentid=3996… a good scan of the 1965 article.

As long as it did not infringe a copyright, I would be pleased to trace the drawings into a usable set of build drawings, if anyone is interested.
